Mackie also highlighted the favorites: "Khrisma, the 7/2 favorite, is Nicky Henderson and JP McManus' hope for the County Hurdle at Cheltenham. She's the second favorite for the Friday race at the Festival, and a win on Saturday would be Henderson's first in this race since 2009. Mondo Man, at 5/1, is an exciting prospect for the Gary Moore team, aiming to capitalize on his impressive rating."
The race is shaping up to be a thrilling rematch, as last year's top three finishers are all set to compete again. Go Dante, trained by Olly Murphy, is a 12/1 shot to achieve an unprecedented hat-trick of wins.
Wreckless Eric, last year's runner-up, is back at 14/1, while Betfair ambassador Paul Nicholls' Afadil is a 12/1 chance to bring home the trophy for the third time in seven years. Nicholls' Nardaran, at 25/1, could also be a surprise contender.
